Located in Mweiga, approximately two and a half hours north of Nairobi, the Divine Shelter of Love Orphanage provides food, shelter, clothing, medicine and education to some of the hundreds of boys and girls in the region who have lost one or both parents as a result of diseases such as AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis. As the Sisters in Mweiga, became aware of homeless/orphaned children, they began to take them in. They have turned a wing of their hospital into dorm space for the children. Children living at the orphanage also receive primary as well as secondary education.

| History: Harom was rescued by the Missionary Sisters from a desperate situation. He sustained severe burns on his legs at the hand of his own mother at only 3 months old. He had been committed to an institution where he was found starving! The Sisters rescued Harom and admitted him to the Mary Immaculate Hospital until they can find more appropriate placement for his needs. Can you help this precious child? He has no legs and will require round the clock care until he is old enough for prosthetics. Would you help support his medical expenses to help ease the burden financially for the Sisters? |
