Fire destroys Sisters' Housing! Fire destroys Sisters' Housing! On March 2, 2009, a fast-moving fire completely destroyed the Missionary Sisters' Novitiate Center in Mweiga, Kenya. Struggling for something to drink! Many men, women and children still without a supply of clean water Prayer for our NEW Sisters! What is Christmas like in East Africa? In Kenya, people will greet one another with "Gia na Thigukuu njega!" The greetings of Christmas mean a time of joy and celebration for even the poorest of Africa's families. Christmas without food! This Christmas the Missionary Sisters of Mary Immaculate are urgently working to provide food, water, and clothing for the neediest men, women, and children throughout Kenya.
